Real technology education, taught by real people.

Stephen and Jacky Souders started MYTEK Lab to give homeschool learners the technology education they wished they'd had growing up. Every student is taught, graded, and replied to by a real human.

Why we built this

A dream that took years to be the right time for.

The idea for MYTEK Lab simmered for years. Stephen had built a career in technology and college-level teaching. Jacky had built one in early childhood education. They both saw the same gap: homeschool families wanted real, hands-on technology education, not yet another stack of video tutorials.

When the platforms, the equipment, and the homeschool community finally matured enough to make a hands-on online tech school viable, they built it. Every student gets taught, graded, and replied to by Stephen, Jacky, or the small team they trust personally.

What we believe

Learning happens by building

Quizzes don't stick. Real projects do. Every module ends with something concrete: a working game, a programmed robot, a deployed website. Students leave with a portfolio, not a transcript line.

Real teachers, not just videos

Every course has a real instructor who reads your learner's submissions, replies to questions, and gives feedback. No automated grading, no chatbot help.

Pacing that respects families

Homeschool schedules are unique. Every course is offered in a live cohort with a regular meeting time AND a flex-paced version your learner can start anytime.

Stephen and Jacky live in Minneola, Florida with their two daughters, Joslyn and Katelyn.
