Students choose when to complete each released lesson. They can pause, rewind, rewatch, and take additional time with challenging concepts when needed. There are no required weekly class meetings, making it easier to fit the course around your family's schedule.
Assignments can be submitted for grading and personalized instructor feedback, and students have access to our weekly live help session when additional support is needed.

Course Overview
Information Technology 1 is an exciting, hands-on introduction to the vast and ever-evolving world of technology. Designed to equip students with a strong foundation in digital literacy and technical proficiency, this course provides an immersive exploration of key technology disciplines.
For the 2026–27 school year, Information Technology 1 has been newly updated with new lessons, projects, applications, and MYTEK LAB learning tools. Flex Paced students receive the same current curriculum being taught to our live students, with new lessons released throughout the school year.
Students explore digital design, web development, programming fundamentals, game development, 3D design, robotics, simulation, and interactive virtual environments. Rather than simply learning individual applications, students use technology to create real projects, solve problems, and develop a broader understanding of how technology works.
More than just technical skills, this course fosters critical thinking, creativity, persistence, and problem-solving. By tackling real-world challenges and engaging in hands-on projects, students develop the confidence and skills needed to continue into more advanced areas of technology.
Information Technology 1 meets the requirements for a Computer Science credit and prepares students for advanced coursework in programming, computer science, and digital technologies.
