Course Overview

Information Technology 1 is a hands-on, year-long introduction to the wide world of technology. Designed for students new to technical learning, this course builds a strong foundation in digital literacy, problem-solving, and creative technology while encouraging curiosity and exploration.

Students begin by learning how computers and operating systems work, then expand into networking fundamentals, digital design, programming, and web development. Along the way, learners experiment with game development, 3D design, robotics, and virtual environments, gaining exposure to multiple technology pathways before choosing areas of deeper interest.

Through engaging, project-based learning, students develop critical thinking, creativity, and confidence. By the end of the course, learners have the skills and mindset needed to advance into more specialized technology courses or continue building toward future academic and career goals in tech.
