Course Overview

Prerequisite: Suggested to complete Information Technology 1
(Information Technology 2 may also be taken as a starting course for older high school–aged students.)

Information Technology 2 is a comprehensive, year-long course that expands students’ technical skills across a broad range of modern technologies. Designed for learners ready to move beyond the basics, this course blends creativity, problem-solving, and practical application to help students understand how technology works—and how to build with it.

Students explore operating systems and command-line tools, strengthen their web design and programming skills, and begin creating interactive digital experiences. The course also introduces more advanced creative and technical pathways, including 3D modeling, parametric design, virtual environments, robotics, and automation.

Through hands-on projects and real-world challenges, students develop logical thinking, computational reasoning, and strong design methodologies. By the end of the course, learners have a versatile technical foundation that prepares them for advanced computer science courses, creative technology pathways, and real-world innovation.
